With over 30 years film experience, I have made a significant contribution to many of the most celebrated and definitive landmark Wildlife TV series of this time, including, Netflix Our Oceans & Our Planet, BBC Planet Earth I, II & II, Frozen Planet I & II, Seven Worlds - One Planet, National Geographic Hostile Planet to name a few. I have won multiple awards and nominations, including those for my role as one of the principle cinematographer on BBC Wild China, (Emmy), Natures Great Events, Life In Cold Blood, CBC Wild Canada and Wild Canadian Year.

With my extensive and versatile skillset I have filmed everything from ants to elephants and I’m comfortable in any location from the Arctic to the Sahara. During my career I have filmed in every habitat, on all seven continent in over 45 countries, on land, at sea and in the air. As well as a huge amount of pure blue chip natural history cinematography I also have extensive experience of filming human stories - all to a world class standard. My technical knowhow includes, IR, thermal imaging, high speed, time-lapse, motion control, Shotover, GSS, Cineflex, drone, gimbal, long lens, macro and studio work, and on formats including digital, 3D IMAX, 35mm, and 16mm.

I was born in South Africa, grew up in Cape Town, after which I spent many years split between the UK and South Africa. I now live in Vancouver, Canada.
